So im back again and more frustrated than ever.
My progress so far:
Now the right shoe dosn't render as well. I don't have a idea why that could be.
Tried to apply a smaller map 256x256 with 150 DPI. Also 150 DPI at 1K map. didn't work.
I don't think that the size of the map is the problem because i rendert different parts of the character with the same map without problems.
i also rendered the finished model without UV layout and 1k checker map applied to everything and it renders without any problems. like you can see here: (rendered with Physical Sun and Sky and FG).
So here a picture of what i layouted so far.no problems with the render.
(also, the Unwrapped shoes are also included in this render but just not in the render view.)
so if i rearange the view so that i can see the unwrapped shoes: you can see that maya computed the final gather points, but failes/crashes when it comes to render the shoes.
So what next? any idea.
Also deleting the shoe and dupe it again didn't work.
I also don't think that this is a memory issue.
Freeze Transform didn't work as well.
Also didn't quite understand what you ment with:
"Have you tried assigning a plain 1024x1024 texture to the left shoe?
Maybe the same checkerboard map you used to do the unwrap would give
you a quick reference. Sometimes if you're using too large of a texture
map, Mental Ray will choke."
I pray to god that i or somebody comes up with a solution.
