Maya 2017 Update 4 unwrap problems.

I just wanted to start off saying I love your work.   Your tools have definately helped me speed up my work flow.
 
Unfortunately with the latest Maya UV udpates, it looks like nightshade UV might be a little bit broken.  I'm including two videos of a problem that I've run into. 
 
 
Are there any plans for another update to nightshade UV?  Is there a reason I'm running into this problem that I'm overlooking?

    Thank you for the compliments.
    Unfortunatily I doubt there is much I can do about this. The Unfold functionality in the native Maya UV editor and NSUV runs on the same command (called just "unfold"). The difference is that NSUV exposes all settings for it and also comes with better presets.
     
    Your video tells me one of two things:
    a) Your mesh is not frozen. If a mesh still has a transform node with a non-uniform scale (like 1x 1y 2z) this might result in odd unfolding. This is just how Maya works - or have worked in the past I should say. It may be that this has been improved over time.
    b) Autodesk did changes to the unfold runtime -command and now it does not work as users are familiar with.
     
    NSUV is still very much in development yes, but updates during the last 9 months or so have been few. The reason for this is that Autodesk bought the rights to use my code for the official product, and that I also helped them out converting code from Python to MEL.
     
    This does not mean that I have stopped working on NSUV though so don't worry :) I'm currently working on a new update for the editor to get rid of some of that UI-havoc in your video. Autodesk made a new UI for the UV editing features in 2017 SP4, 2018 LT and now Maya 2018 - changes that clashes with the NSUV editor. The next update for NSUV will hopefully be done at the end of summer or early autumn.
     
    Suggestions:
    Freeze your mesh, try unfold again. If this doesn't work try the box-trick (combining the mesh with a cube primitive -> delete the cube faces). If unfold is still behaving in an odd way then you could try an older version of the service packs.
