Winner of the 2010 Promax-BDA North America Promotion & Marketing Gold Award for In-House Program Promotional Campaign. The Sports Local promo features the 5:00-6:30 pm block of SNY's live news programming. The New York subway scene is the theme of this promo campaign focusing on the tile art, posters and MTA schedule signs, all elements commonly found in the subway stations of New York City. On the technical side, I created the 3D environment using Maya. In order to reduce the rendering time, since there were so many lights and there was a tight production schedule, the lights do no project shadows. Instead, I faked the shadows and the radiance by including them on the texture maps I previously created in Photoshop.
