Not working for me in Maya 2012

Date:02/07/2012

Trying this out in Maya 2012.  So far, no gamma-correct nodes at all are being created, either when I select "Update ALL" shaders or "Update Selected" with several selected in Hypershade.  Is there something I need to do before this will work?

Hmmm...which materials are you trying it out on? Are the swatches some color other than black or white. If your swatches are black or white it won't insert them because gamma adjustments don't do anything for black or white. It's working for me in Maya 2012 with both Vray and mental ray shaders in the same scene. Can you send me a test scene that does not work for you?

It is not working for me on base (Maya) materials or on mia_material_x, even in a test scene with only a sphere with a yellow color/diffuse. Even clicking "Update All Shaders" returns "Warning: Nothing selected." in the Script Editor. Selecting the Blinn and/or the mia_material_x in Hypershade returns the same warning, as does selecting the object and clicking "Update Selected", which was a shot in the dark but I figured I'd try that too. Using Maya 2012 and Win7 x64 here. Hope it doesn't seem like I'm complaining, I'd love to never have to worry about gamma-correcting swatches again!

Do you have the user data shaders enabled by any chance?

Can you upload a scene file where it's not working? If I can reproduce the error then maybe I can fix it. But right now I can't reproduce it. It's working on my end.
