This is an "unoffical" way to dramatically speed up overlay intensive tools such as PaintFX and Artisan in Maya with Geforce cards, any model or driver seems to work. This will add a modification to your Windows regestry that seems to force a 'back buffer' to be enabled. No adverse effects have been seen yet, but understand this is unofficial. But it seems to do wonders for productivity. With these "gamer" cards in Maya and other products that require overlays.
