I went through the installation process and came into a bind. Im installing it on a mac and through the provided directory, I navigated to the maya folder to place the May9 2018 folder but I already have an existing “2018” folder. It has all of my scripts, prefs, etc.. and Im getting prompted to replace my 2018 folder with the “May9 2018” folder. I was wondering if I should try merging them or do I need to get rid of my original 2018 folder before I install? Im a bit hesitant to try anything without asking for some help first because I would hate to lose all of my other scripts and prefs.
This is my issue as well, I'm still using the old version because I have other scripts that I need and can't replace the entire 2018 folder. Perhaps, May9 could use maya general scripts folder instead - \Users\<username>\Documents\maya\scripts
Cosmos which is another great add on script and uses this folder and installation is easy. Also super convenient when upgrading maya.
Hi guys, from release 3.2 is possible install May9 direcly in maya\modules folder and leave the actual preferences untouched. Entire process is well explain in the inclued user manual.
