@Cameron Thanks for helping out. I also PM'd that one could open the file but not before checking the 'ignore version' from the option's box of the file open menuitem. :) cheers!!!

This file was opened in Maya2009.. If you're trying to open it in Maya2008, then open the file with a text-editing program and replace all the "2009"'s with "2008" by pressing ctrl+f, then replace
This looks a reall great character ....the problem is as with the chap above I can't seem to open him! wonder if you could help, I'm an animator and would love to take him out for a spin.
this message comes up on opening:
