Purpose:

If you want to adjust the pole vector on an IKhandle while maintaining your joint-rotations,

the twist value needs to be adjusted to compensate for the new poleVector.

This script calculates that twist value on your IKhandle.

Example of use:

When creating a no-flip-knee you want to have your poleVector set to something like [0,0,1] on your ikHandle and then find the right twist value so that the leg stays in place.

Directions:

1.) Obiously you first need to place this file in any of your maya script directories

and source the file. Then type nilsNoFlipIK in the command line and hit ENTER.

2.) Select your IKhandle

3.) Input desired values for your poleVector and hit GO

4.) Twist value will be calculated and set on your ikHandle with the new poleVector.
