Ok this is a good news, is strange that not load up automatically. you need to check in 2016/script/userSetup.mel at line 5 should like this: string $dockedOutliner = "DockedOutliners"; Or try to reinstall: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CZ_KJMJv_uo Hope it helps!

Line 1 error is a false positive. Did you have the interactive playback button near the standard playback one?

yes it already have that line. i dont understand why it does not trigger at startup. by the way i dont know if this helps you but when i execute the DockedOutliners command the outliner comes yes but it also gives an error. // Error: line 1: No window found.

Any news on this? I'm having the same problem in windows Maya 2016 Ext1+sp3. Not interactive playback icon, no outliner+sets. But I have the search box. // Error: Line 2.34: "$dockedOutliner" is an undeclared variable. If I run DockedOutliners I dont get any error message and the same if I try to open Outliner normally it doesn't open and I get no error message. If I run this on the script editor: string $dockedOutliner = "DockedOutliners"; I get this error: // Error: Line 1.24: Invalid redeclaration of variable "$dockedOutliner" as a different type. //

Here is the good news. Sorry to bump this but i have fixed it completely by luck :D The problem is related with perspToOrtho script. Davide you are using "source perspToOrtho;" command in userSetup.mel file but the script file it self is starting with capital "PerspToOrtho.mel" so when i change it to "perspToOrtho.mel" the problem gone =) Now outliner area autostarts when maya open. So if you can fix this naming in the next version it will be great. Thanks again for all your efforts :)
