I am transitioning from Max so can one help me find the FK/IK switch for the arms?

gabrielle, how did you manage to do that? I've been able to do everything, apart from animate a walk cycle.

Thanks Andy, I noticed the bug as well. But if you animate using the clavicle control and the shoulder control, this effect can me minimalized. I'll keep this issue in mind for the next update. Thanks for the review.

Nice rig. The skinning around the neck breaks pretty noticably when moved and the shoulder/deltoid area will break through the shirt when twisted. Other than that, good design and cool rig. good work.

I use to use the foot roll/heel-toe pivot too. But for some reason it got me into trouble cause it always took more time to fix the knee jerks. But using the foot translate control, the whole process got simpler and I only have to think about 3 or so curves where before I also had to fix the heel pivot, toe pivot and the waist ctrls constantly. And while acting one seldom uses heel, toe pivot ctrls anyways. Thanks :)

ahh that makes sense then, just a different workflow. I think I typically try to get as much out of the footroll as possible, then feather in the translate and rotate to clean it up. It's nice being able to go up on the ball to back on the heel with one fcurve. instead of trying to match up 2 or 3 different ones. I'll give it ago animating more with the tranlate/rotate and see how it works out. Thanks!

Thanks for the review renderahh. I too think the facial controls could use some more work. Actually it was done a long time ago (about 2 years ago) and I never updated it. About the foot roll attr, I personally don't use them a lot. In a walk cycle I usually use the translate attributes and the toe bend. It just keeps things simple. But I'll surely keep it in mind for the next update. Thanks a bunch again. -Z

Very Cool Rig, Great character! simple, but functional and usable. One thing I'd like to see is more deformation in the face. he's a such a big character, that I pictured the face being more malleable. It's difficult to push the facial poses into extreme shapes. Also, while it's a small note, the Rev. Foot controls would be better incorporated by combining the Ball Pivot and Heel Pivot attributes into one "Footroll" attribute. Thanks for your hard work and making the character available for free!
