Sorry I haven't actually used this script as I have something similar. Thought I'd mention that you should have your dmap shadow setting at 2048 vs 2000 as Maya will use 2048 anyways. For that matter 1024 would probably be better to start with if your scenes usually require higher than 512 res dmaps for results.
