this script is useful for maya 6 users who cannot select more than 1000 objects at once in the attribute spread sheet.
the script by default changes the render tessalation for all the selected objects, but can easly be changed to any other attribute of the shape node to be changed, by replacing the attributes name in the script.
also useful for general purposes, to make quick attribute changes instead of picking them in the spread sheet.
