This script sets the face(polygon) selection mode to center or whole face. It is the same as Preferences>Selection>Polygon Selection. This just lets u toggle between the two quickly without having to go to preferences.
INSTALL:
1. Open the faceslmt.mel in Script Editor
2. Copy all the code to a shelf button
3. Ready to use
Just click the shelf button to use.
Tip: If you don't see any changes to selection mode just zoom in/out to see changes.
Tested with Maya 2008,2009,2011,2012.
