kbAutoMap automatically maps the UVs of a polygon object. Maya's built-in Automatic Mapping works by projecting the UVs from a number of planes or angles. This script has a different approach. It basically sorts the faces in groups based on neighboring face normal angles. If the angle between faces is smaller than the user defined threshold, the faces will be added in to the same virtual group. This group will get planar mapped using best plane projection. The process is repeated until all faces are mapped.
