Dont know if it's just me, but with the channel colors I Normaly associate Y with Green, X with Red, and Z with blue, so might be cool to have those colors for those atributes regardless of that manipulator mode you are in? (rather than Red for Translate,Green for Rotate and Blue for Scale).
Small thing so not sure what other folk think- but thought Id mention :)
