Hello, This issue usually occurs if there is a problem during execution and the script comes to a halt. Since a part of NSUV was loaded but not all of it, running import NSUV again will give you this particular error. Suggestions: Make sure you have all files inside Library/Preferences/Autodest/maya/2016.5/scripts/NSUV/ - it should be 4x py-files and 1x mel. You might have pyc-files there as well (compiled Python files - created by Maya upon execution) and if you do, see if you have one for every py-file or only if you have a few of them. Either way they are not necessary and can be removed as they will be added again once Maya starts up. Having only some would mean that not all sub-modules were loaded and if that is the case I need to know which ones. Restart Maya, wait for her to finish loading and then go into the script editor > history > toggle the top 4 checkboxes (you can toggle them off once you are done). After you've done this run the NSUV install command: import NSUV Now does NSUV load or do you get some error message in the script editor? If you do please post it here. I've tested the tool on Maya 2016.5 (Ext 2) in a Windows environment and it installs just fine. I haven't tested it on OSX but there should be 0 differences really (only thing that is different is paths).

Hello, I followed your instructions, this is the #Error i received: import NSUV # Warning: Pixmap file NS_manipScaleUV.png not found, using default. # # Warning: Pixmap file NS_manipScaleU.png not found, using default. # # Warning: Pixmap file NS_manipScaleV.png not found, using default. # # Warning: Pixmap file NS_manipFlip.png not found, using default. # # Warning: Pixmap file NS_manipRot90CCW.png not found, using default. # # Warning: Pixmap file NS_manipRot90CW.png not found, using default. # # Warning: Pixmap file NS_manipRotCCW.png not found, using default. # # Warning: Pixmap file NS_manipRotCW.png not found, using default. # # Warning: Pixmap file NS_manipMoveUpLeft.png not found, using default. # # Warning: Pixmap file NS_manipMoveUp.png not found, using default. # # Warning: Pixmap file NS_manipMoveUpRight.png not found, using default. # # Warning: Pixmap file NS_manipMoveDownLeft.png not found, using default. # # Warning: Pixmap file NS_manipMoveDown.png not found, using default. # # Warning: Pixmap file NS_manipMoveDownRight.png not found, using default. # # Warning: Pixmap file NS_manipMoveRight.png not found, using default. # # Warning: Pixmap file NS_manipMoveLeft.png not found, using default. # # Error: RuntimeError: Could not load or find icon "NS_absRelToggleOn.png". # *Note: I had placed every file that was in the pref > icon folders into the main pref folder. I than moved all files from the pref folder to the main pref > icon folder and now it works perfectly....thank you for your help. It seems Maya if very, very picky on the file path. I couldn't simply take your pref > icon folders in to my library, i had to copy all into my main pref > icon folders. again thank you for your help and your very quick reply, very professional and i will be recommending this to my educational environment and classmates. Also as Note: I figured out that after i ran the script with the .py files in the main script folder i had to move them back to the NSUV folder and restart maya for the button in the shelf to work. I don't know if thats for everyone or just me but now the button works just fine.

I'm glad you got things working. I realised that I've specified incorrect installation paths on OSX on both the CC page and the manual. I will correct this ASAP. Thanks for reporting this!

It does work in 2014. Do this: Restart Maya, then go into the script editor and click the top 4 checkboxes under "History" on the menubar. Then try and run NSUV. Post the full error here.

Martin, this looks like an excellent program, but I find it impossible to install. You mentioned that there were mistakes in the installation instructions. Is there another set of instructions, other than the pdf file I should try? Thank you for your time.
