Q/A

I have an update to the code..

I've updated the code, to include the possibility of having a material that was allready created and assigned by the OBJ importer that exists in maya, and checks for the existsance of a material / shading network, and if present hooks up the textures located in the MTL file, like intened, thereby preserving material assignments for possibly 100's of shapes in the OBJ. Furthermore I have added a conversion that converts any material that's not "Phong" to a Phong shader, so that Spec Maps, and Normal maps can be hooked up as well.

I've successfully used this to export models out of the latest Unreal3 engine, via the File>Export>SelectedOnly... and it asks weather to include the textures, which it does if you ask it, and dumps them for possibly an entire level into a folder and has .bmp's whith them, which is a bit bothersome as they do not have transparency, but that's beyond this topic.

With your permission I'd like to give / upload the modified script so you can look it over, and test it for your purposes...
