So when you want to import some image as reference or build reference studio for blueprints you have no need
to create any surface shaders or type proportions of image by yourself this script will make it automaticly.
All resolution proportions of image file will kept in Scale Transforms of polyPlane.
To use this script just run one of the commands from your shelf then select file | folder as source
Installation:
place files from archive to your "..../my documents/maya/your maya version/scripts" folder
How it works:
After extracting files from archive put both of the commands below separately to your shelf
gl_browse_file; -to import a single image (just browse it through the window that appears after script been started)
gl_browse_dir; -to import multitype images (browse directory rather than single file.
unlike the previous command its require file name with particular suffix included. so add them at the end of each file's name
Please Use the list below as suffix guidance:
_f - FRONT REFERENCE (e.g. "myfFontReference_f.jpg")
_t - TOP REFERENCE
_s - SIDE REFERENCE
_b - BACK REFERENCE
_exta - EXTRA-A REFERENCE
_extb - EXTRA-B REFERENCE
_extc - EXTRA-C REFERENCE
_ref - 45 degree PHOTO REFERENCE (e.g. "mainConcept_ref.tga")
