Problem with whitespace-only-entries

It's possible to add items containg only whitespace, which results in weird errors:
Perhaps you should do a .strip() on the input, and treat whitespace-entries like you do with empty entries (i.e. not add them, or just clear the input field).
- you can add multiple items with the same name (try adding items with single space)
- These items can not be removed
- After adding a bunch of single-space items and then trying to remove some of them, maya crashes
