INSTALL: Quit Maya if it is running.Copy the script to your local sourceable script path for yourself. Typically something like: C:\Documents and Settings\YOURNAME\My Documents\maya\scripts\ will work just fine.
Select vertex or locator and execute MEL command TrailCurve(); Also you can pull command to shelf line via MMB to create shelf Button. You can select part of timeline for creating trail only for several frames.
Script just create nurbs Curve for vertex path. You can delete it manually.
