Is it possible to have an interactive tool that selects and spins an edge or quad when you're in component mode.
This would select an edge or quad in order to have it interactively select and spin until you drop the tool.
There is Spin Edge Tool. It can be reached by selecting "Edge Tools" from "Insert Edge Loop" Pop up Menu. The Spin Edge Tool is second icon on the second row. Clicking this icon will spin the edge and Make it the New Default Edge Tool. Successive clicks will continue to spin edge or any other selected edge. It must be an edge between two quads. You can even select multiple edges at the same time although this code has proven difficult to implement.
I'm not certain what you might mean by interactive. Some sort of drag function perhaps? I don't have anything in mind specifically but you're always welcome to suggest a little more.
I have noticed that once you selected any new Edge Tool, you can't return to the regular split Edge Tool without causing an error. I will this with in a few days. If this problem happens you can always restart X-Tools to get it back to the default state.
