well, i think you can add a textListGrp and a button, so user can select as many curves as he needs and then hit the "Select Curve" button, now your script will know exactly how many curves will be used to loft the surface, now you can create the surface, the curve at the top of the wave, and the foam particles, and you can create and add the needed materials, all in one go !
