Bugs

Replace String function not functioning

Statusclosed

When I use the replace string function in 2011, it removes the entire string instead of replacing the part of the string specified.

For example:

I open a scene and instead of pointing to the textures within a project all of the texture directories are like this:

C:\Users\Me\Textures\Bottom\

C:\Users\Me\Textures\Top\

etc

I want to replace "C:\Users\Me\Textures\" with "Textures\" so it will file the textures in the project but instead of getting a result "\Textures\Top\1.tga" I get "\Textures\1.tga" so all the text after the string I replace is no longer there.

'Replace String' was designed to replace string within file name itself instead of path. To substitute path root, try 'Substitute Root' on the "Extra Functions" tab.
