Hi,
thanks for the great script.  i have been using your script for a long time.
However, i am having some issues with this script.  Whenever i run the script and click on "copyfiles" button, maya crashes.  I am not 100% sure if it is your script that is causing the maya crash though.  do you think the problem might have something to do with permission issue on my side also? i am using mac os x with maya 2012.  For example if maya is trying to copy/move texture files using this script, and if the folder it is moving to does not have permission to write, would this cause maya to crash?

Please help me if you can, i really need this script to work since i mostly deal with many textures in production.

thank you

According to my test, FTM works with Maya 2012 on MAC OS X. At least FTM will not cause Maya to crash in this situation, because FTM copies/moves/removes files by invoking Maya's native script command. If that doesn't work, it should be Maya's issue. FTM detects permission before copying/moving/removing files. If permission is the case, FTM will warn user with its own log within Scripts Editor, and this shouldn't crash maya in any way. My suggestion would be to setup some scenarios to test more to find the real reason or at least some kind of pattern, which will greatly help to address the real problem. For the scenarios, could be folders with or without permission, could be folders on local disk or network storage, etc. You mentioned that you've been using FTM for a long time, so I assume FTM worked. So there should be some difference between previous successful scenarios and current failed scenario, start from there.
