This is a pretty simple script, but I use it a lot. It basically toggles your selection mode between Polygon Face, and UV modes via a single hotkey. I wrote it because I often toggle between Face and UV mode in the UV editor and I got tired of right clicking to change modes constantly.
Instructions are inside the script to install and run. You can also change which character (key) is used for your hotkey. If you would like to change what two modes you toggle between, there are notes in the script to change them.
